THEQC and the Turkish Maarif Foundation Sign a Cooperation Protocol
ANKARA – The Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) and the Turkish Maarif Foundation (TMF) signed a cooperation protocol on developing quality works at the higher education institutions affiliated with TMF.
Prof. Muhsin Kar, THEQC President, and Prof. Birol Akgün, TMF President, signed a protocol aiming that THEQC evaluates the quality development of higher education institutions affiliated with TMF regarding the national and international standards.
The Protocol states that the cooperation between THEQC and TMF will significantly contribute to higher education quality assurance in evaluating the quality levels of leadership, governance and quality, learning and teaching, research and development, service to society activities, and accreditation.
The Protocol also includes terms such as evaluating the higher education institutions affiliated with TMF in terms of the quality levels of leadership, governance and quality, learning and teaching, research and development, and service to society activities in the external evaluation processes to be performed by THEQC, making accreditation decisions about the universities, and suspending or refusing the accreditation decisions.
