Memorandum of Understanding was signed between THEQC and Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR)

ANKARA – Memorandum of Understanding in the field of quality assurance in higher education between the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) and Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) was signed by the THEQC President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Elmas and the IAAR General Director Dr. Alina Zhumagulova.

Besides Prof. Dr. Elmas and Dr. Zhumagulova, THEQC’s Academic Experts Assoc. Dr. Dilek Avşaroğlu Erkan, Lecturer Erdem Sarıaydın, Expert Ayhan Koçer and the council staff attended to the signing ceremony held at THEQC in Ankara.

Before the signing ceremony, mutual presentations were made to introduce the activities of the both institutions and ideas were exchanged. According to the protocol, it is aimed to carry out joint studies and develop cooperation in the field of higher education quality assurance between the two institutions. The protocol includes topics such as cooperation in the field of institutional external evaluation and institutional accreditation of higher education institutions, supporting the mobility and exchange of external evaluators and experts, and creating a cooperation mechanism that will be beneficial for both institutions.
