THEQC In-Service Training on "Quality Assurance Ecosystem in Higher Education" and "The Relationship Between Strategic Management and Quality Assurance System"
Within the scope of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) 2026 In-Service Training Program, training on “Quality Assurance Ecosystem in Higher Education” and “The Relationship Between Strategic Management and Quality Assurance System” were organised on 1 April 2026 and 8 April 2026, respectively.
The training titled “Quality Assurance Ecosystem in Higher Education,” organised with the participation of the THEQC staff, aimed to contribute to the development of institutional capacity regarding quality assurance in higher education. Within the scope of the training by Oğuz Yazar, CoHE Expert, the historical development of the higher education quality assurance system at the international and national levels was addressed from a comprehensive perspective.
The training titled “The Relationship Between Strategic Management and Quality Assurance System,” held on 8 April 2026, was organised with the participation of the THEQC staff. The program, featuring Asst. Prof. Tuba Canvar Kahveci from Sakarya University, as the trainer, was considered a significant step toward strengthening the quality-oriented management approach in higher education. Within the scope of the training program, while strategic management and strategic planning processes were addressed with a holistic approach, how these processes are implemented in HEIs and how they integrate with quality assurance systems were evaluated in detail.
