The Council Approves 2025 Accreditation for 32 HEIs: 30 Under MtEP, 2 Under IAP <\/h3><\/span><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

As a result of the evaluations and site visits conducted within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) carried out by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), the accreditation of 23 universities with 2-year conditional accreditation was upgraded to 5-year full accreditation with the decision taken at the Council meeting in July.<\/p>

Atat\u00fcrk University and Ondokuz May\u0131s University, whose institutional accreditation has ended, were granted full accreditation for 5 years as a result of the new evaluation process.<\/p>

Holding a 5-year full accreditation, Gazi University, Middle East Technical University, \u00d6zye\u011fin University and Sabanc\u0131 University were decided to continue their full accreditation as a result of the mid-term evaluation program (MtEP), while the conditional accreditation status of three other universities was terminated.<\/p>

President Kocab\u0131\u00e7ak pointed out that the IAP provides advantages to HEIs in many areas, such as increasing quality, ensuring sustainability in quality assurance systems, and encouraging stakeholder involvement and transparency. He said, “In addition, the reports of Turkish universities that have been granted institutional accreditation are published on DEQAR, where review outcomes of quality agencies across Europe are also present and only institutions that fully comply with ESG are accepted, providing equivalence, recognition, visibility and increasing competitiveness in the international arena.”<\/p>

Within the scope of the 2025 IAP and MtEP, HEIs granted accreditation and whose accreditation continues are listed as follows:<\/p>
